Uwe Hempel

born in 1957
He is a toolmaker and artistic locksmith. He studied painting and graphics at the Arts Academy in Dresden/Germany and took courses in metal sculpturing with Professor Ohme in Halle, Burg Giebichenstein/Germany.
Since 1983, he has been working as a free lancer in Dresden and is a member of the BBK.
In 2000 he received an award for his contribution to the 4th intern. exhibition GLASS SCULPTURE AND GARDEN.
In 2006 he was awarded the 2nd prize of the Art Prize of the Town of Munster.
